Bird Box 1885

This type of intricate jeweled box was popular in France and Geneva in the late 19th century. The finy bird is only about 3 cm long and is animated, When you open the lid the bid sings (mechanical wistle). Made about 1885.

The small object is a stamp to produce a seal, it contains a very small music box.
